Get prepared for your upcoming team tryouts. The Tomorrow's Ice Pre-Tryout Skates combine options for a Battle Camp and Checking Clinic followed by age-appropriate tryout prep clinics leading up to tryouts. Each of our clinics have been designed to focus on the skills needed most to perform well come tryout time.

Battle Camp and Checking Clinic 2023

Dates: March 29, April 5

Days: Wednesday Evening

Time:

• Battle Camp-2014 to 2011 Birth Years - 6:40-7:40PM
• Checking Clinic-2010 to 2005 Birth Years - 7:50-8:50PM

Location: Ice World - 1300 Governor Court, Abingdon, MD, 21009

Features:

• Checking concepts to include gap control, angling, use of the stick, body positioning, and body contact.
• Open to players of all skill levels in birth ears 2014-2005 (players are broken up into smaller groups based on age and size).
• Skill and Age Playing level appropriate concepts and subject matter instruction.
• Techniques covered: stick positioning, puck protection, avoiding checks, checking in all areas of the ice, reading the play, counter checks, body position, foundation strength, and puck battles/stick battles.
• Managed by TI staff.
• Goalie coaching with DTC.

• Bring both a light (preferably White) and a dark (preferably Navy Blue of Black) jersey.

• 2010 to 2005 Birth Years (13U to 18U) - 7:50-8:50PM

Themes, Schedule, and Concepts:

• Week 1- April 12th... Skating Conditioning-To Push players cardio though power skating to improve players conditioning for try-outs.
• Week 2 - April 19th...Try-out Prep-Prep players for typical try-out drills and skills to make sure they are ready for a try-out format.
