Ice World offers a variety of skating programs and the majority of our players began with Skating Lessons.

Hockey Initiation Program is for ages 4-15 to teach the proper skills and skating to prepare for recreational league play. Classes are one hour in length and each session is seven classes. This is run year-round. At least two HIP sessions should be completed before moving onto the next step.

HIP 2 is for all players over the age of 8 and who have completed HIP 1. This focuses a little more on game play while still working on the basic skills of skating, shooting, passing, and stick handling.

This program is designed for those players who have graduated from the Hockey Initiation Program and will continue to reinforce proper skating and skills. This follows the American Development Model on skills and skating first along with small area games. The 'Tomorrow's Ice Future Program' season will run from September through February with practice one weekday and games one weekend day.
