The HNS power by TI Futures program is open to players ages 9-12 years old (birth year dependent) and offers two different levels of play U10 and U12. All players in the program will be part of our structure which follows the principles of the ADM (USA Hockey's American Development Model). The ADM takes a process driven approach to development and is driven by a focus on skill development and building a stronger foundation by emphasizing the goal of creating solid and sustainable individual player skill sets. This is accomplished through instruction and repetition. Skill Development for hockey players is a life long journey...rather then a short term task!
Features of the HNS powered by TI Futures program are as follows: Teams will compete in the CCHL( Capital Corridor Hockey League) as well as play some non league contest. CCHL travel for game is based in the DMV area and some non league games could be in the local DE/PA area as well.
The program will offer both teams at the U10 and U12 level.
Teams will start practice in Sept and end practice in late Feb. Teams will have one hour long team practice each week as well as a one hour long skills session directed by TI Staff and Team Coaches. Games could start as early as Sept, but typically start in Oct and could go until the first week in March. The season is capped off by the Joe Loschiavo Memorial Cup Tournament at a location TBA. Players will be able to attend TI Future games that will be played on Sundays. These games will consist of inter-squad scrimmages between all age levels within the TI Futures program.
All practices will be held at Ice World.
Age appropriate training and development curriculum will be followed. The HNS powered by TI Futures program will follow the principals set fourth by USA Hockey's ADM model for each age group.
